Arkady comes from the excellent online comic series FreakAngels, which everybody who likes comics should read at some point. I am always trying to improve my performance of her, so if you have any pointers, please let me know!

Notes for

lastvoyages : Arkady has been paired with Touko and Syo, a multiple personality from a truly dystopian universe. Right now she is mostly doing the work to earn their trust, but meanwhile others are leading them astray, and she will soon have to cope with it.

 

OOC PREFERENCES:
•CONTACT METHOD: doctressamnesia on AIM, anakimwriter on plurk.
•THREAD-JACKING: Fine with me!
•FOURTH WALLING / CANON PUNCTURE: No real problem with it, though Arkady will be upset that someone knows the full truth behind how their Britain fell apart.
•BACKTAGGING: Tags are love, late or not.
•AVOIDED TOPICS: I will not play out rape.

IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Arkady is tall, willowy and androgynous, with a shaved head, enormous purple eyes and pale skin. She is in her early twenties but often seems younger. She dresses in filmy hippie/fairy dresses and skirts (fortunately with underwear nowadays) and almost always goes barefoot. She occasionally wears a battered straw hat. She speaks with a Winshire (south British) accent somewhat muddled by her time in Whitechapel.
•ABILITIES: Arkady is a powerful telepath, both projective and receptive, though she rarely uses these abilities offensively. She can also communicate with animals telepathically. She is a teleporter, capable of transporting multiple people up to a few miles away (such as taking her Clan the distance between Whitechapel and Shoreditch Park). Her precognitive abilities are unpredictable, especially in a place with a lot of potential outcomes like the Barge, but she can usually pick out potential danger very quickly.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: None in particular. Arkady is unusually robust in spite of being underweight.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Bigotry against nonhumans.

IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL: Yes, but she will sense it and is more than capable of defending herself against control attempts or damage.
•MIMICRY: Sure, she'll just find it amusing.•
VIOLENCE: Arkady is completely nonviolent, and will use her powers to stop fights by either knocking the antagonist unconscious or teleporting them somewhere...inconvenient. 
•MAGIC: Sure, but I would prefer to discuss any large/game-changing effects ahead of time.•
DEBATE: No problem.
•OTHER / NOTES: If you are not sure, ask, but I'm pretty flexible.

Just a tiny hmd note to say:

"Oh pish, if people attacked you they would be doing it just to draw attention away from their own crap. Besides, anyone around here worth listening to would know they're full of it. Seriously!"

Omg, okay, I just wanted to give you a thumbs up on Arkady's Britishism's because I don't think I have ever seen someone use "pish" in an rp before, and it's just one example of her voice being like, pretty low key, but ringing incredibly true as spoken British English!

And I say this as someone who is PRETTY TERRIBLE at making my characters sound distinctively American, but yes, I just wanted to give you some thumbs up for that <3
