Well, I pulled the twins! [She actually sounds cheerfully optimistic about this.] If you have any questions, advice or opinions I'd love to hear them.

[The door to 2-8 is propped open. Also festooned with teensy Christmas lights. There's a faint smell of incense and...birdiness...coming from within. Arkady putters around humming, feeding her fish and tidying up the place a bit.]

I'll be in during the night shift then. [Dylan feels like he needs a drink, and he likes Arkady. She reminds him of someone (although he can't place who) and seems like the type of bartender he could spill his thoughts and feelings to without being judged.]

I've got a nice bottle of Dwarven Whiskey, let's try that. [She pours him a shot and keeps the bottle handy.]

I do indeed have time. [She pulls up a chair.] What's on your mind then?

I'll take it. [He downs the shot and coughs once at the alcohol burn.] He thinks about how to begin.

So, I've got this friend...[He's not naming names although he suspects that it'll be pretty obvious who he's talking about.]...I think he's got good intentions, but I feel like I can't trust him.

Sometimes one can trust a friend for some things but not for others. It's not because they're bad people, but everyone has their flaws. Like a bodyguard who is a terrible gossip. One can trust him with one's life, but not with one's secrets.
