[Arkady can't sleep, so she's in the Pub late, mixing drinks and then teleporting them over to the tables. She's still having trouble walking more than a few steps, and leans on whatever is nearby when she stands. For once her exhaustion and stress is as plain on her face as the bruises against her pale skin.]

Date: 2012-08-22 07:33 am (UTC)Uh... Sweet, I guess. [Guess who doesn't know his drinks? This nerd, right here. Jukebox? He glances over at it, intrigued, then back to Arkady.] "Classic" is a bit of a broad term.

Date: 2012-08-22 08:13 am (UTC)He makes his way purposefully over to where Kozak is seated, turning him and the stool around by his good arm to face an expression that can only be described as profoundly disapproving.]
What in pluperfect hell do you think you're doing, galavanting around!?

Date: 2012-08-22 08:36 am (UTC)And then that's exactly what happens anyway. He has enough sense to put down his drink before any spills happen. After a moment he seems to have calmed him down a little, enough to regain some semblance of composure.]
I'll have you know, I don't galavant--
[That's all he manages before its back to full-on laughter, now leaning forward with an arm around Perry's neck in a half hug, which helps his own balance. C'mere you, you're getting a puppy hug.]

Date: 2012-08-22 07:54 pm (UTC)You should be sleeping off those painkillers. [He admonishes, which is considerably more difficult to do from this position.
After a moment--and a put-upon sigh--Perry awkwardly reaches up to pat his inmate's back before extracting himself from the embrace to sit at the bar himself. To Arkady, because talking sense into Kozak would obviously go about as well as it ever does:] Something stronger than he's having, if you'd be so kind.

Date: 2012-08-22 08:50 pm (UTC)Sleep is booooooring, Perry. I'd rather be hanging with-- [Snaps fingers.] Oh, intros! Perry, Lore. Lore, Perry. [Gripping the counter with one hand, he leans dangerously far back in his seat so they can see each other.] My science buddy, my gay warden, and a teleporting barkeep! If that's not a party, then I don't know what is.

Date: 2012-08-22 09:03 pm (UTC)Though the comment of "gay warden" earned an incredulously amused glance. At least he escaped being the science android. Speaking of which...] He'll be fine. I'm the designated walker. [He's never encountered a lovely little molecule known as "polywater", so as far as he knows he can only fake being drunk.]

Date: 2012-08-23 04:46 am (UTC)We haven't all met really, so, I'm Arkady. Faith and I run the pub. I'm from Earth circa the early Twenty-First, but I'm not exactly standard human. [A faint smile.] In fact nobody's entirely sure what we are.
[She looks to Lore and points at his drink.] Four shots of Midori, two shots each lemon and lime juice, lime and orange sherbet chunks, top off with Torani and fizzy water.
[She sits back.] That reminds me, need to check something. [She quietly pulls out a manual of drug interactions and looks up Kozak's meds and dosage in them.]

Date: 2012-08-23 05:48 am (UTC)[To Arkady, he'd been about half a breath away from simply asking for Scotch when she suggested a chocolate martini, and for the moment it takes to wonder what about his expression would indicate he needed such a thing, she receives only a puzzled frown in response.
...on the other hand, it has been one hell of a day.] Sure, why not. Chocolate martini it is.

Date: 2012-08-23 06:11 am (UTC)That line of thought goes completely astray when singing is brought up. He glances back at the jukebox, recalling (vaguely) the discussion of it earlier. And that it had karaoke.
And suddenly it Has To Be Done. Decisively he sets down his drink, now half-gone.]
Not yet he isn't. But that could change. Right now.
[He shrugs off his jacket, which is naturally tossed in the general direction of Perry's lap. Vague hand-wavey gestures for Lore to follow him, then off the stool he goes, stumbling only a little, and he reaches automatically for his science bro's shoulder.
Then an awkward pause, frowning in concentration.]
You know how to run one of those machines, right? That whole android...thing? Cuz I sure as fuck have no idea.

Date: 2012-08-23 07:21 am (UTC)He steps off the stool himself. Putting down his drink.] That is vile. Hold on to it, I'm coming back for more when I'm done. [Even negative experiences have their merit! And he'd asked against his preferences on purpose. He decides to go over to the Karaoke machine.]

Date: 2012-08-23 05:21 pm (UTC)[She is in the midst of making the chocolate martini when she catches Lore's zinger. She's a bit tender at the moment, so her face falls for a split second before she recovers and snickers a bit.] Who are you, Dorothy Parker's spiritual lovechild?
[Finally she spears an olive shaped chocolate on a toothpick, sets it in the glass, and pops over to give Perry his drink.] Here you go, love.

Date: 2012-08-23 07:24 pm (UTC)Satisfied that there's only so much additional damage even Kozak can do to himself with a karaoke machine, he turns his attention back to both the bar and his drink, raising the glass slightly in Arkady's direction in thanks.]

Date: 2012-08-23 11:10 pm (UTC)...You have no scent. That is so weird. I never noticed.
[Yeah he's going to sniff again because suddenly a lack of scent is cute and amusing. Once at the machine he'll hang onto that and peruse its list. If it had one. Otherwise poke at it in fascination. He waves at Arkady.]
Demo away! That should be fun. [To Lore:] What's your poison? Er. Genre, choice of song, whatever.

Date: 2012-08-24 01:28 am (UTC)On the contrary, now my breath smells like Midori. [Almost proudly, but otherwise, yes, he's profoundly clean.] You're the one having the hard time, Kozzy Boy. You pick and I'll ride shotgun.
[He tucks an arm around hie back to keep him upright.]

Date: 2012-08-24 08:33 am (UTC)But whatever moving on. He's already distracted by the song list again, still with an arm around Lore because why not? He's there. Arkady's demo is given his full studious attention. Music is serious business.]
Well, ok let's- [Blink.] Hang on, 'Kozzy Boy'? [Considers it for a second, then shrugs.] I like it. Anyway. Something easy to start with. A classic, too. And 'course you're riding shotgun--can't leave me hanging out there on my lonesome.
[He points out the song to his designated walker. The actual set-up would be left to Lore because Kozzy shouldn't be allowed to press any buttons right now. 'Smile' for everyone's sadness and possible delight.]

Date: 2012-08-24 08:56 am (UTC)Keep in mind, however, Lore is a good singer. He's a great singer. He's broadway level good. However, this is funny, so he's going to sing with Kozak instead of what words he's being given on the screen.
This song may not have the same lyrics as depicted.]
