Well, roosters have the whole, uh, militant punk image to maintain. Maybe Bertie does get it -- maybe he's even secretly intrigued by this whole different world of self-expression -- but he can't act on it in fear of being judged by his peers, so he takes his frustration out on unsuspecting peacocks instead.
