A very clever fellow I met recently posed the question: why is there no live music in the pub? Perhaps we can fix this. Do we have any musicians on board whom I can lure out of the closet?

Well, I got daisies, and for Breach I had a lovely time as someone whose life was good and just taking a great turn for the better...so that was lovely.

I think the Doctor's a bit embarrassed, though.

Some of their folk are odd about sex and more's the shame... I don't know that you aren't more in his sphere than most of us.

Incidentally, I hope that young lady wasn't cherishing any illusions that her employer didn't know precisely what she was up to with that Scotch eccentric.

I understand. I suppose I never get in a bundle about sex. For one thing, my mind was connected with about eleven others, and once we hit fifteen, that was rather it. Constant thoughts and images and sensations intruding. One of us got so grumpy about it that he put on a tinfoil helmet.

[She blinks, and then a torrent of giggles.] Oh, she and I both should have guessed. He was terribly good at looking after his crew.

There's a gentle on Ragnarok with similar tolerance-- by telepathy, just the gossip circles of a static crew on long assignment together. Wheatfields. They'd have gotten along.

I'm pleased that didn't change, that he looked out for his folk. Less pleased about other changes. But folk look after me, too, and it's all right.

Wish I could, but I'm Fleet and we drink anything... although keep asking the admiral for Cortac, assuming it was you who asked and he simply didn't have it stocked. Or at least good brandy.

Not sure where the kitten comment came from. But at least it's not like back when I was wandering around telling people the conditions of their deaths. There was this one bloke...well, it involved a donkey....

Two most comfortable things about the Breach were that the Doctor was the one I snogged (the rest isn't even Stildyne's business), and that you and I were teamed together. That should happen more often. We do well and it's fun.

I figure we're on the same vector.
